Man Utd prepared to sign Brentford star if Joshua Zirkzee leaves

Manchester United are prepared to make a serious move for Brentford striker Igor Thiago if Joshua Zirkzee heads for the exit door.

Thiago had a tremendous second season with the west London giants and he ended the campaign with an impressive 25 goals.

As a result, he has been chosen in Brazil's World Cup squad this summer, and it is claimed that he could leave the Bees on his return.

United have been monitoring him for some period of time, and journalist Ben Jacobs claims that they are evaluating a possible approach.

The Red Devils are not alone in the pursuit of the marksman and could face competition from Arsenal for the highly-rated centre-forward.

The Gunners view him as a replacement for Gabriel Jesus, who is expected to leave the club with his contract expiring in just about a year.
