Chelsea back in race to sign French goalkeeper

Chelsea have revived their interest in signing AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Blues were keen on landing the Frenchman from the Rossoneri but were reluctant to meet the valuation of 30 million euros.
The west London outfit were willing to pay just 15 million euros which meant that Maignan continued with the San Siro giants.
He ended up penning a new long-term deal until June 2029, but this has not ended the speculation about him leaving the club.
With Milan missing out on Champions League football, they are prepared to offload some key assets to balance their books.
Maignan is obviously one of those and he could be sold for 30 million euros. Chelsea could meet the valuation this time around.
Incoming Blues manager Xabi Alonso has given the green light and a deal may not be formally concluded until after the World Cup.
Maignan will be France's starting keeper at the global tournament.
