Chelsea stance on signing Ethan Nwaneri revealed

Chelsea don't plan to rekindle their interest in signing Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri after a failed approach last summer, according to The Daily Mail.

The Englishman was a top target for the Blues last year, but he ended up penning a new long-term deal with the Gunners.

Nwaneri was loaned out to Marseille in January due to a lack of playing time, but the attacker had a frustrating spell in France.

It has now been revealed that the Gunners are contemplating the sale of their star graduate as they seek to secure a pure profit on their books.

Chelsea have been touted to make a fresh approach for the youngster, but their hierarchy are not interested in Nwaneri this time around.

The Blues are instead focused on landing a young midfielder with more experience and Tottenham Hotspur's Lucas Bergvall is being considered.
