Man Utd striker on his way to Willem II on loan

Manchester United striker Chido Obi is set to join Eredivisie outfit Willem II on loan for the ongoing campaign.
The 19-year-old joined the Red Devils from Arsenal two years ago and had a good breakthrough season with eight appearances in 2024/25.
However, he did not make a single appearance in the last campaign, and his situation seems unlikely to improve in the current season either.
Hence, a loan exit was always a likely solution and Obi will now spend the season with Willem II, who recently secured top-flight promotion.
The Dutch outfit have promised regular playing time for the young striker, which is essential for him to become a key player for United in future.
United believe Obi can fulfil his immense potential and he is being seen as a possible replacement for Joshua Zirkzee at the end of the season.
Zirkzee was the subject of a loan offer from Everton on deadline day, but a deal did not materialise before the window closed at 11pm BST.
