Man Utd to sign Liverpool midfielder Isaac Konde

Manchester United are poised to sign highly-rated Liverpool midfielder Isaac Konde, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Red Devils have sought to land emerging talents over the past 18 months, and they have now reached an agreement to sign Konde.

The youngster was offered the option of signing a professional deal with the Reds at 17, but has opted to continue his career at United.

The Red Devils will reportedly pay a compensation fee of around £1m plus several add-ons to bring the young midfielder to Old Trafford.

Konde has yet to make his senior debut, but early impressions suggest he has immense potential and could be fast-tracked into the first team.

The 16-year-old will initially start working with the Under-18s but could be promoted to the Under-21s this term if he makes the right progress.

United are expected to continue their talent hunt in the coming months with manager Michael Carrick placing keen emphasis on promoting youth.
