Man Utd midfielder set for debut vs Tottenham

Manchester United midfielder Carlos Baleba could make his debut for the club during the Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur on October 10.

The Cameroon international signed for the Red Devils in a huge £70m deal from Brighton & Hove Albion this summer, but has yet to make his debut due to an ankle issue.

Baleba did make the squad for the final game at Fulham before the international break, but manager Michael Carrick did not feel the need to risk him in the match.

The 22-year-old has been working on building his fitness during the international break and The Athletic claim that United expect him to be fully fit for the restart.

The defensive midfielder could be key to turning around the club's fortunes against Spurs. United desperately need a win after just five points from their opening five league matches this campaign.

Carrick's position is completely safe at the moment, but the hierarchy may not take things lightly if United continue to struggle in the league.
