Kaboul nears Portsmouth move

French central defender Younes Kaboul has moved a step closer to completing his switch from Tottenham to Portsmouth. It is understood that Pompey are set to shell out £5 million to lure the defender to the club.

Kaboul had an unfortunate first season at Tottenham, often making some crucial mistakes in the early stages of the year that cost Spurs some important results.

Kaboul often spoke in public about his desire to leave White Hart Lane, and a move looks set to be pushed through within the next week after terms were agreed between the two clubs.
