Sunderland eye Malbranque

According to Steed Malbranque's agent, Sunderland are the only club to have made a formal enquiry to Tottenham regarding the French forward's situation at White Hart Lane.

Steed was booed towards the end of last season by his own fans, and is reportedly looking at his other options.

Malbranue's agent, Frederic Dobraje, told the News of the World: "Sunderland are the only team to have been in touch about Steed.

"No other club, including Aston Villa, has made contact."
