Schmeichel new contract

Man City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has been rewarded for his outstanding form this season with a new 4 year contract. Sven-Goran Eriksson had been looking to sign a goalkeeper, but is now believed to have been delighted with Kasper's current form.

Schmeichel told the club's website, "It's great to have everything put to bed now so I can concentrate on my football and I'm delighted.

"Everything's gone well this season, so to get this sorted out as well is really pleasing."
