Bouma to get new deal
Aston Villa's Dutch defender Wilfred Bouma is to be offered a new deal. The player's contract expires at the end of next season and has impressed Martin O'Neill enough to consider offering a new contract.
Bouma agent's Ger Lagendijk confirmed talks over a two-year extension were due to take place in the near future.
"The club wants to reward his development with a contract renewal," said Lagendijk. "Negotiations will begin later this month or in October."
