Chelsea star wins PFA Young Player of the Year award
Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has been voted as the PFA Young Player of the Year for the ongoing season.
The England international joined the Blues from Manchester City for £40m last summer and there was some criticism over the price.
However, the youngster has answered those critics in brilliant fashion with 22 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League.
He has been a catalyst behind Chelsea's improved form in the second half of the season. They are currently sixth in the table.
The Blues have the opportunity to claim fifth on the final day with a win if Tottenham Hotspur lose at Sheffield United.
Palmer is currently one of the lower earners at the west London giants and contract talks are expected to begin very soon.
The playmaker will be part of the England squad for the Euros. The Blues could sort a new deal before his departure of Germany.
Palmer has also been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year but Phil Foden is currently the firm favourite for the award.
