Arsenal drop interest in signing 28yo striker
Arsenal have dropped their interest in signing Brentford striker Ivan Toney during the summer transfer window.
Toney was highlighted as a top target for the Gunners at the start of the year and there were suggestions that they could pay £80 million.
The England international was in fine scoring form at the time, but he has since struggled to find the back of the net for the Bees.
Caught Offside now reveal that Arsenal have cooled their pursuit of Toney while they are also unlikely to make an offer for Alexander Isak.
Isak was monitored after his move to Newcastle United two years ago, but they are unlikely to meet the current asking price of £120 million.
RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko is the prime target for the Gunners at the moment. The 20-year-old has netted 18 goals at club level this term.
His finishing skills have been compared to Erling Braut Haaland and he could be signed for a release clause which stands at £64 million.
