The Belarus international Vitaly Bulyga has challenged England’s domination in the world cup qualifiers stating that they will beat England.

England will visit Belarus on Wednesday, although England won all three matches in the qualifier so far, Belarus cannot be counted as minnows. The Euro 2008 qualifiers show that the Belarusians are a tough opponent, their win against a top quality Holland 2-1 proves this fact.

Some of the England fans might not have forgotten the match in Reading against Belarus which they lost 1-2. It was in 2006, under Sven Goran Eriksson and England had top players like Micheal Owen, Owen Hargreaves and Ashley Cole in their line-up.

Bulyga was a member of the Belarus squad then, and he said that England will not dare to underestimate them.

“I am sure England’s players and coach know we beat Holland in the last qualification and then drew against Germany and Argentina in friendly games,” he added.

Bulyga commented that the game will be tough for both teams, whoever predicted an easy victory for England is wrong.

He also said that although England has stars in their line-up they don’t play like a team and that will be an advantage for Belarus.

“Unlike England’s team, there are no world stars in our side. We are a well-organised team, we have played many times together and understand each other. And we are playing at home with our fans’ support, that’s our advantage.”

Bulyga has 32 caps and eight goals Belarus.
