Bolton eye new players

Bolton boss Gary Megson has admitted he will look to purchase a few new players in the transfer window in January in order to help bolster their squad and improve the club's chance of being guided to Premiership safety.

He told the Bolton News: "We have some decent players at this football club. We just need to add to them with a few more bodies.

"That means when a few people drop out through injury and suspension, as we had at the weekend, we're not having to put a great onus on the kids coming through and learning their trade.

"There were three of them on the bench against Hull and we'd have had the confidence to put them on if we needed to. But when you look at other peoples' benches, there's obviously a lot of work for us to do.

"We're down on numbers but it had to happen. You can have 70 players in your squad, but it doesn't matter if you can't get a decent eleven out."
