Legear a target for Newcastle

Newcastle are in the race to sign Johnathan Legear, the highly rated Belgian youngster currently playing at Anderlecht. The player is valued at around 2.5m GBP.

The 24 year old has been an important member of the first team since 2004, and is reportedly looking for a move abroad as he is unhappy with his current contract at Anderlecht.

Legear has already appeared for the Belgium international team.

A report from Belgium indicates that Everton and Aston Villa are also interested.
