Wolfsburg turn down Alex Hleb loan move
Alexander Hleb will spend January looking for a new club after Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath admitted that a loan switch for the Belarus international would not be extended come January.
"It's very, very unfortunate,'' Felix Magath said in a statement. "I would have gladly exercised the option to keep Alex but with the injury problems he has had we cannot do that. If he was 100percent fit he would have helped us with his quality.''
Hleb now returns to Barcelona, but it is believed two Premier League clubs are interested in the midfielder. Wolves and Wigan are both reportedly following the player.
