Arsenal set high asking price to sell 26yo star
Arsenal have set a high asking price for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale amid interest from Newcastle United.
The Englishman lost his starting spot to David Raya at the start of last season and his position is unlikely to change.
Raya's current loan deal expires at the end of June, but the club have made the decision to trigger a buy clause.
With that in mind, Ramsdale may start contemplating his future as he would not want to play second fiddle.
Newcastle are one of the clubs interested in signing him, but the Gunners have set a wild price of £50m, as per The Sun.
The north London giants want a guaranteed fee of around £40m for the goalkeeper with the remaining in add-ons.
Aside from the Magpies, Chelsea and Wolves have been linked with his services but none are likely to meet the fee.
Arsenal may have to lower their demands to sell him. They could prefer to keep Ramsdale too if there are no suitable bids.
