Leandro Damiao admits Tottenham made offer

Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao today admitted that Tottenham have made an offer for his services. The talented Internacional striker is a long term target of Harry Redknapp, and Spurs have reportedly bid 19 million already.

For a long time, Paris St Germain were the favourites to sign Damiao, but it seems that Tottenham are the only team to have expressed a real interest in the player.

“I am not aware of anything for an offer from Paris SG. I have had no contact with PSG or Leonardo [sporting director],” Damiao said.

“For now, I think about my club and the Copa Libertadores. In July, if a proposal comes, it will be discussed.

“All that I know is that Tottenham have made an offer.”
