Everton to keep James McCarthy despite interest
Everton manager Roberto Martinez is not surprised that James McCarthy is a target for numerous top sides; including a reported bid from Arsenal. The central midfielder has been in excellent form for the Toffees so far this season.
Arsenal and Tottenham are amongst the potential suitors in the midfielder and both teams are believed to have a long standing interest in McCarthy.
Roberto Martinez told reporters when asked about interest in his player: "I’m a big fan of his. The interest doesn’t surprise me and all the admiration from outside is welcome.
"James’ future is at Everton and he has many things to achieve with us."
