Swansea want Chelsea striker
Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has confirmed that his club are one of several clubs in the race to sign highly-rated Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham this summer.
After a successful loan spell in the Championship last season with Bristol City, Premier League clubs are now of the belief that he is ready for the step up to the top flight.
Newly promoted Brighton and Newcastle have already declared their interest in the nineteen-year-old and now The Swans have joined the race.
After avoiding relegation at the end of last season, Swansea City are determined to aim higher next season, leading manager Paul Clement to look for the appropriate additions to strengthen his team.
During his time as a coach at Chelsea, Clement worked with Abraham, something that chairman Jenkins hope will help to lure him to the Liberty Stadium.
As the search for new players continues, Jenkins told BBC Sport that he will also fight to keep hold of key first team players Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alfie Mawson and Fernando Llorente, who have all been linked with summer moves away from the club.
