Barcelona want Dani Alves quick

FC Barcelona are leaping forward to complete the signing of right back Daniel Alves from Sevilla as early as this week so that they can unveil the player next week.

It is thought that Alves himself has agreed personal terms with the Spanish and European giants and it is only a matter of days before he becomes a Barcelona player. Barcelona have presented Alves’ current club Sevilla with a €25 million offer, which the Andalusian club are yet to agree upon.

But according to latest reports, Barca president Joan Laporta is very much eager to kickstart the summer building and he seems to want to start the summer spending spree with the signing of arguably the best right back in the world Dani Alves. The Brazilian international has been in tremendous form in the last three seasons and is still being chased by a host of other European giants.

Last summer Chelsea came close to landing Alves at Stamford Bridge but their €36 million bid was rejected by the Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido. The consequence was that they had a very disgruntled Dani Alves on their hands and that hasn’t helped impair the frosty relation between the player and his club president.

But this time everyone sees to agree that Alves will eventually move away from the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. After Sevilla’s Seville derby with Real Betis at the weekend he was quoted as bidding farewell to the Sevilla fans which seem to imply that Barca shall wrap up the deal inside this week which wouldn’t allow Alves to play in Sevilla’s last match of the season at the weekend.
