Man Utd eyeing surprise deal for Barcelona wonderkid?

Manchester United are interested in a surprise deal for Barcelona B defender Mikayil Faye, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Red Devils are looking to sign a marquee centre-back this summer, but they are also expected to invest on future prospects.

Faye, who recently made his debut for Senegal, has been identified as one, and the club are ready to make a summer approach.

Lens have already made an opening bid of €9m for the 19-year-old which has been rejected. They plan to come up with a new offer.

United are also weighing up a formal offer, but it is claimed that Barcelona are unlikely to let the youngster leave on the cheap.

The Blaugrana bought him for only €1.5m last year, but they are looking for at least €25m including add-ons to part ways with him.

Faye has yet to make his senior debut for the Catalan giants, but he was on the bench during their recent game against Mallorca.
