Man Utd trio expected to return to training next week

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial are expected to return to team training next week.

The Red Devils have had an injury-plagued campaign and they have been severely hampered in the defensive department this season.

Shaw and Martinez have been huge misses in the backline, but the duo are anticipated to return to full training sessions from next week.

Martial is also likely to make his long-awaited return to training after recovering from a groin surgery at the beginning of the year.

The Frenchman's current contract expires at the end of the season and there are no plans of extending his stay at the current point of time.

Alongside him, Raphael Varane's deal also expires at the end of June and both of them could be heading out on free transfers this summer.

United welcome Burnley in tomorrow's league game at Old Trafford. Mason Mount has been deemed fit to return to the squad.
