Kevin Keegan has insisted that relationships between himself, Mike Ashley and Dennis Wise have never been better; despite rumours suggesting otherwise.

"I do not think we have ever been closer than we are now," said the former England manager.

"We are very much united and I am sure if you ask Dennis Wise, Tony Jiminez, Jeff Vetere, Mike Ashley and Derek Llambias, they would say the same thing because it is the truth.

"We all understand each other's briefs and what each of us brings to the club.

"When you have six or seven guys in a room talking football, you are never going to agree on everything - but the important thins is that, when we don't agree, it stays in the room."
