Arsenal ready James McCarthy offer

Reports on Tuesday morning suggest that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is putting the finishing touches to an offer for Wigan midfielder James McCarthy; an offer believed to be worth about 12m GBP to the Latics.

An impressive first season in the Premier League saw McCarthy's value rise, and a number of Premier League clubs expressed an interest in the Scottish international.



Arsenal are reportedly waiting for a move for Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona to be completed, and then they will bankroll a move for McCarthy.
