Wigan ponder move for Nicklas Bendtner

26 August 2011 - 06:44

Wigan are considering a shock move for Danish international striker Nicklas Bendtner. The Arsenal striker has been told that he has no future at the Emirates by Arsene Wenger, and had reportedly been locked in talks with several European sides; but a move failed to materialize.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Roberto Martinez has apparently spoken to his chairman regarding a move for Bendtner, and Wigan will offer 5.5m GBP for Bendtner. This offer would be accepted by Arsenal, who are ready to let the forward leave.

Bendtner was believed to be set to move to Borussia Dortmund back in July, but the deal fell through as terms could not be agreed between the German side and Arsenal.

Wigan will make an offer early next week for Bendtner and hope to wrap up a move before the transfer deadline.
