The Daily Mail is reporting that Newcastle have finished their search to find a new full back and will sign Inter Milan hot prospect Davide Santon for 4m GBP.

According to reports, a move for PSV Eindhoven defender Erik Pieters fell through at the final hurdle and Alan Pardew subsequently turned his attentions to the Italian full back.



The 20 year old is very highly regarded in his homeland and was first given a chance in the first team by then Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho.



It is believed a move for Santon could be completed by the end of the transfer window on Wednesday.
