Arsenal end interest in Montolivo

Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo looks set to stay at the club and agree a new contract. Arsenal had been linked with the Italian midfielder.

However, it appears that Montolivo, whose current contract expires at the end of the year, would like to stay at the Viola.



"There are clubs interested in the player, this is normal," Montolivo's agent said.



"His contract in Italy ends in June and we do not have any plans to meet with the Fiorentina management.



"But we are calm and dialogue is not broken with the club. Throughout the year we will find a solution that is good for both parties."
