Ballack hopes for Chelsea stay

10 October 2007 - 12:37

German international midfielder Michael Ballack has said that he would like to remain at Chelsea for the rest of his career. Under Jose Mourinho, Ballack was very much out of favour but now it appears Avram Grant may give him a second chance - to stay until his contract ends in 2009.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • "I feel very happy here and would like to end my career here," the 31-year-old told German television station ARD.

He added in Bild: "Although I want to end my career at Chelsea, if I am still fit when my contract runs out, why should I not play on for another two years?"
