Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp admits that Heurelho Gomes is likely to quit White Hart Lane in January, as the shot stopper pursues a place in Brazil's 2014 World Cup squad.
Gomes has long been linked with a move away from Tottenham, but decided to stay at White Hart Lane and fight for a first team place.
However, Redknapp chose Carlo Cudicini ahead of Gomes for Spurs' Europa League game against PAOK Salonika last week, indicating that Gomes has now fallen to number 3 in the pecking order behind Cudicini and Brad Friedel.
Redknapp said: “I would think he won’t be happy. He wants to play at the World Cup [in 2014] with Brazil, so it’s going to be a problem.
“We’ll wait until the next window and see where that takes us.
“He’s done nothing wrong. He’s a fantastic goalkeeper and a great pro. I just went with Carlo in Greece [against PAOK in the Europa League] - and he [Cudicini] was magnificent.
“I’m very lucky I have three top goalkeepers here and it’s unlucky for the two not in the team.
“They would get in other teams, for sure. He [Gomes] trains great every day."
