Mancini ends Tevez's Man City career

29 September 2011 - 06:20

Roberto Mancini has called time on Carlos Tevez's Man City career, after the Argentine refused to come off the bench for the last ten minutes of City's game against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Tevez had been asked to play for the last ten minutes, but told Roberto Mancini that he did not want to play a part in the game.

"If I have my way he will be out. He's finished with me.

"If we want to improve as a team Carlos can't play with us. With me, he is finished.

"He refused to come on the pitch. What I said to Carlos is between me, him and the team [but] I am really disappointed because it is Carlos. I decide the changes.

"It's a bad situation - it's important for a player to help the team. [The situation] is impossible."
