Capello: England wont play safe

Capello: England won't play safe

04 October 2011 - 05:16

England manager Fabio Capello has ruled out a tactic that will see his side play safe in their attempts to secure qualification for Euro 2012.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • England's manager called up five forwards to the squad for the game against Montenegro on Wednesday.

"We are going to win this game, not for the draw," he told FATV.

"If you play for a draw it is a big mistake. You are not focused on the game. You are playing to defend the result.

"When you do that you make some silly mistakes. You need to play the same style as all the other away games."
