QPR could move for Javier Saviola

08 October 2011 - 16:01

Ambitious Queens Park Rangers could make a January move for Benfica and Argentina striker Javier Saviola. The 29 year old's contract expires next year.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Benfica's forward pairing of Oscar Cardozo and Javier Saviola is amongst the best in the Portuguese league, but the club are preparing to break the duo up should QPR match their valuation of 5m Euros.

Saviola has enjoyed a wonderful start to the new year, with 3 goals in 6 league games; and a hand in many of the goals.

Queens Park Rangers' ambitious chairman Tony Fernandes has told Neil Warnock that he has a 20m GBP transfer kitty to spend once the transfer window is reopened.
