Queens Park Rangers are to make an offer for Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong in January once the transfer window reopens.

Spurs are ready to let the French centre back leave the club as they themselves recommence their pursuit of Bolton defender Gary Cahill.



A QPR transfer for Bassong had been cancelled at the last minute back in August as Spurs failed in their attempts to sign Gary Cahill.
