Arsenal Target Sow and Gourcuff

Arsenal Target Sow and Gourcuff

17 October 2011 - 21:08

French sources claim that Arsene Wenger will dip into the transfer market in January and has identified Yoann Gourcuff and Moussa Sow as his main transfer targets.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Gourcuff has had a relatively quiet spell at Lyon and seems to be keen on a move to England. Wenger is interested in securing him on loan in January, but the chances of that are slim. The French international is valued at £20 million and a permanent transfer in summer is more likely.

Arsenal are also eyeing Gervinho's former teammate Moussa Sow as a replacement for Maroune Chamakh.

Sow was the top scorer in the Ligue 1 last year and formed a formidable partnership with Gervinho up front. His arrival would finally bring Wenger the out-and-out striker he has been looking for after the departure of Emmanuel Adebayor.
