Arsenal target Montolivo to leave for free

Reported Arsenal target Riccardo Montolivo has been informed not to expect a January move, although he will be allowed to leave on a free transfer in the summer.

Montolivo is also being watched by Italian giants AC Milan, but no move will materialize in the winter transfer window as Fiorentina president Mario Cognigni believes that he still has a role to play in the current campaign.



"I don't think that Montolivo will go in January," Cognigni told Rai Tre.



"That's because it is Fiorentina's aim to actually reach some important objectives at the end of the campaign."
