Tottenham's out of favour goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes will return to Brazil in January, and join a club on loan for six months before returning to Europe in 2012.
Gomes has fallen behind Brad Friedel and Carlo Cudicini in the goalkeeping pecking order at White Hart Lane, and Spurs have told the Brazilian he is free to leave the club.
Gomes said: "I will probably go back to Brazil on loan for half a year. I'll then come back to Europe to join another club."
