Arsenal scouts have been busy watching Werder Bremen midfielder Felix Kroos. The Germany under-21 international is highly rated in his homeland and Arsene Wenger has reportedly been recommended the player by defender Per Mertesacker.

 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • We understand that Arsenal's chief scout Steve Rowley has been busy preparing a report on the development of Kroos for Arsene Wenger; as the French coach is already a big fan of the youngster.
Germany currently has an abundance of young attacking talent and so far Kroos has not yet been able to win an international cap. But the 20 year old is expected to win international honours soon.
Felix is the younger brother of Bayern Munich striker Toni Kroos, who already has international experience.
Felix Kroos is valued by Werder Bremen at around 5.5m GBP and Arsenal could make a move next summer for the German.
