Tottenham have been linked with a move for highly rated goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen. The Borussia Mönchengladbach shot stopper is very highly thought of in his homeland.
According to reports from Germany, Tottenham scouts have been monitoring the 19 year old keeper very closely over the past two weeks. It seems that Spurs are on the look out for a long term replacement for Brad Friedel, who is expected to hang up his boots at the end of the year.<br />
Spurs are already planning to sell Heurelho Gomes once the January transfer window opens, but have Carlo Cudicini available as backup for Freidel. It is expected that a move for the Mönchengladbach goalkeeper will not take place until next summer then, when Tottenham may have to fork out as much as 8.5m GBP for the goalkeeper.
