AVB sure his Chelsea job is safe

22 November 2011 - 07:53

After Chelsea's surprise 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Stamford Bridge at the weekend, some reports suggest that Roman Abramovich had run out of patience with the Portuguese coach already. But the former Porto manager is sure his job is still safe.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Man Utd interested in signing Aurelien Tchouameni
 • Three defeats in four games have surprised many, particularly the 5-3 drubbing to London rivals two weeks ago.
Andre Villas-Boas has been forced to speak on his own future at the club.
"He didn't pay 15m euros to get me out of Porto and another fortune to get me out of Chelsea," Villas-Boas said.
"It is not a question of the owner having patience. I have said we have set out to build something new at this club and the club is committed to what we are building for the future."
