Hazard price tag scares off Arsenal

Hazard price tag scares off Arsenal

24 November 2011 - 08:13

Arsenal have been priced out of a sensational move for Belgium international Eden Hazard, after Lille valued the highly rated youngster at 28m GBP. Arsene Wenger is a huge fan of Hazard and has been tracking the Lille frontman for over two years.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • It seems that Real Madrid or Barcelona could be Hazard's next destination though, as Wenger is not prepared to pay the enormous amount of money that the French club are demanding.

Arsenal were close to securing a move for Hazard over a year ago, but the deal collapsed after terms could not be agreed between the two clubs.

Wenger has also been chasing another of Europe's brightest prospects, Mario Gotze, but that offer will fall through as well as Borussia Dortmund value the German international at 24m GBP.
