Improving Everton saw off Bolton at the Reebok Stadium with a wonderful 2-0 victory, putting the pressure back on under fire Trotters boss Owen Coyle. Marouane Fellaini and Apostolos Vellios scored the goals to see off Bolton on Saturday.
Bolton now sit in 18th in the league, and Owen Coyle, already under some pressure for the poor start to the Trotters' season so far this year, finds himself in an uncomfortable position yet again.
Things could not have started much worse for Bolton, as David Wheater was sent off after just 20 minutes. From there on in, Everton controlled the game with the extra man advantage.
Fellaini opened the scoring when he rifled home from a Leighton Baines assist, to put Everton on their way in the 49th minute.
An inspired display from Jussi Jaaskelainen kept Bolton at bay, as Louis Saha looked for the second goal.
That would not come until late on though, as Vellios scored in the 78th minute from a Tim Cahill cutback.
Everton move up to 8th in the Premier League with a very important three points.
