Chelsea could finally complete the long awaited transfer of Belgian midfielder Kevin de Bruyne in January, in a 4.5m GBP deal.
Eyefootball understands that the Blues have agreed a fee with his club.
De Bruyne is one of the stars of Racing Genk's current side, but the Premier League beckons for the young midfielder.
The Stamford Bridge based side had been monitoring De Bruyne for most of last season, and during the summer began negotiations with the Belgian side for a permanent transfer.
However, the transfer window closed at the end of August and De Bruyne could not make the move in time.
It appears that Chelsea have made some progress over the last few days, though, and that a 4.5m GBP move could now be agreed next week. De Bruyne will spend the remainder of the season with Genk and the player will link up with his new team mates next summer.
