Arsenal target Lucho wants French exit

01 December 2011 - 06:00

Arsenal target Lucho Gonzalez wants to quit Olympique Marseille in January, with the Argentine midfielder desperate to make a move to another country.

 • Juventus and Napoli enter race for Chelsea winger
 • Felix Nmecha linked with Chelsea move
 • The Gunners were making a loan move for Lucho last August as they scoured Europe for a replacement for Cesc Fabregas, who rejoined hometown club Barcelona in the same month.
The midfielder has had enough of life on the bench in France, and is now hoping to secure a move elsewhere.
"You'll have to ask Marseille why he wasn't allowed to leave in August," Gonzalez's representative Federico Simonian told The Sun.
"Like every player he wants to make progress. He wants to be transferred to the Italian, Spanish or English leagues. Of course, he will be transferred to a team that deserves and appreciates him."
