Spurs manager admits European failure

After Tottenham's surprise 2-1 defeat to Greek side PAOK Salonika in the Europa League yesterday, Spurs manager Harry Redknapp admitted that his club look likely to face an early European exit.

  • PAOK Salonika's ten men battled bravely against Spurs, and a surprise 2-1 victory for the Greek side leaves Spurs second from bottom in their group, just behind Russian side Rubin Kazan.<br />

    "I am disappointed now because we are not going to be in the last 32," Redknapp said.<br />

    "I wanted to stay in the competition but it wasn't to be. It is very difficult now. Full credit to the opposition, they worked hard and looked dangerous."
