• Chelsea's striker handed in a transfer request last week, and is looking for first team football elsewhere. The Blues have set the asking price at 8m GBP for the 32 year old
It appears that a deal could be struck as soon as next week, with the Frenchman expected in China for talks.
Zhu Jun, Shanghai's club chairman said: "We started to talk about every detail from the first minute of the negotiations. The whole contract is made up of details. It's comprehensive and complicated, involving the player's image and the commercial cooperation."
