Schalke keen on Podolski move

Bundesliga giants Schalke 04 want to bring German international striker Lukas Podolski to the club in the January transfer window. Podolski has recently hinted at a move away from his boyhood club FC Koln.

Arsenal were amongst the clubs linked with a move for the talented striker, but it appears Podolski will have the option of an extended stay in Germany as Schalke 04 are weighing up a 10m EUR move for the striker.<br />

<em>"Yes, we&rsquo;re interested in Podolski"</em>, Schalke chairman Clemens Tonnies revealed.<br /><br /><em>"We think about him, but we&rsquo;ve also got other names in mind."</em>
