Bundesliga giants Schalke 04 want to bring German international striker Lukas Podolski to the club in the January transfer window. Podolski has recently hinted at a move away from his boyhood club FC Koln.
Arsenal were amongst the clubs linked with a move for the talented striker, but it appears Podolski will have the option of an extended stay in Germany as Schalke 04 are weighing up a 10m EUR move for the striker.
"Yes, we’re interested in Podolski", Schalke chairman Clemens Tonnies revealed.
"We think about him, but we’ve also got other names in mind."
