Mancini eyes comeback against Arsenal

Mancini eyes comeback against Arsenal

16 December 2011 - 09:05

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini wants his side to bounce back from the disappointment of defeat this weekend against Arsenal. The Gunners travel to the Etihad Stadium immediately after City's unbeaten record in the league this year had been broken by Chelsea.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • Chelsea's 2-1 win against City at Stamford Bridge on Monday night meant that Man City succumbed to only their first league defeat of the year, and now Mancini hopes to set the record straight as Arsenal come to visit the City of Manchester Stadium this weekend.

Man City could lose their top spot if Arsenal beat them and city rivals Manchester United beat QPR in their weekend game.

"I think that at these moments we should be strong," said Roberto Mancini. "After one defeat, we can improve - we know what we can do, and in this moment we can become stronger.

"We have never had a problem bouncing back after a defeat, and I am sure we will do it again. We play Arsenal on Sunday and at the moment Arsenal are playing very well. It will be difficult but we need to start again. What is important is that we start to win again."
