Galliani in Manchester to wrap up Tevez deal

19 December 2011 - 09:46

AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani has arrived in Manchester to thrash out a deal for Argentine striker Carlos Tevez. The Manchester City striker is expected to complete a move in early January.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Man City are only interested in a permanent deal, whilst AC Milan are hoping to bring Tevez to the club on loan, with doubts over Tevez's fitness and mental state since being frozen out at the Premier League side.

Galliani will discuss Tevez with Man City directors on Monday afternoon.

"Let's hope sooner or later City change their minds," Galliani is quoted as saying in The Sun.

"Negotiations are going to take a long time but we are playing a lot of emphasis on the fact he wants to play with us. It's true other sides are interested in him but there are not actually that many."
