Chimbonda close to new deal

Pascal Chimbonda could be close to signing a new deal at Tottenham. The 28 year old has been in discussions with the club for a number of weeks, and is expected to sign a new three-year deal.

The Frenchman's agent Willie McKay has revealed that the contract talks are going in the right direction.



"We are in talks over a new deal for Pascal," McKay told skysports.com.



"I have spoken to Tottenham sporting director Damien Comolli about an extension for Pascal”.



"Talks are going well and we are waiting until after the next match to try and conclude things."
